DEVELOPER WILLIAM F. RINALDI ACQUIRES LARGEST UNDEVELOPED PARCEL IN JESSUP COUNTY; SITE TO BE DEVELOPED INTO NEPA MANUFACTURING HUB

DEVELOPMENT WILL GENERATE HUNDREDS OF LOCAL CONSTRUCTION, MANUFACTURING JOBS

MOOSIC, PA – Developer William F. Rinaldi today announced his acquisition of 360 acres of land in the Borough of Jessup, Lackawanna County (PA) to be developed into a major manufacturing hub in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The 360 acre site is the largest undeveloped parcel in the Borough of Jessup. The superior geographic location of the land parcel, situated near a major Marcellus Shale formation and the PJM electric transmission lines, provides a great opportunity for manufacturing companies to access low-cost utilities. Rinaldi’s capital investment in the acquisition was approximately $2.5 million.

We are thrilled to have been able to acquire such a prime parcel for the development of a much-needed manufacturing hub for Northeastern Pennsylvania that will create hundreds of quality jobs,” said Rinaldi. “The thriving Marcellus Shale industry in our region and the site’s proximity to the PJM electric lines make this an ideal location for manufacturing companies seeking easy access to low-cost utilities, as well as to major highway and rail infrastructure. The building blocks of development in today’s economic environment rely not only upon the quality of the workforce, but the availability of low-cost natural gas, water and electricity. This region already has the ready workforce. Our new parcel has all the other requisite resources.”

The 360 acres of land in Jessup County is serviced by Lakawanna Country Railroad, PPL Eletric Utilities, American Water Works and UGI Penn Natural Gas. The property is located on Route 247, with immediate access to SR60006, known as the Casey Highway.
